The Seki Kanetsugu Shiun series features a variety of unique handles with lots of personality. Blood red - a color that speaks of life and vitality. These handles are made from Oak wood and lacquered for a blood red, glistening finish. Beyond aesthetics, these blades are made with VG10 stainless steel, a popular Japanese steel which provides superior edge retention and function for everyday use. Its “Hamaguri” blade shape, which is a convex grind identical to traditional Samurai swords, offers a clean and effortless cut. The intricate hammer-forged pattern not only looks amazing, but also helps with food release.
