Kurobara Tsubaki (Camellia) Oil

Kurobara Honpo was founded in 1923, and has been manufacturing blade preservation oil for over a century. Their Tsubaki (Camellia) Oil has been carefully extracted specifically for maintaining Japanese kitchen knives - especially those made of carbon steel. 

A thin layer of oil over your knife blades will prevent the steel from being exposed to the surrounding oxygen. As a result, it will help prevent oxidation and rusting.

To use:

• Put a few drops of the oil on a clean and dry blade.
• Using a soft towel or tissue, spread the oil evenly and wipe off any excess. This should leave a thin layer of oil over the knife.
