Ebony Octagonal Handle with White Buffalo Horn Ferrule

These octagonal Japanese knife handles are constructed with Ebony wood and "White" Buffalo Horn. Classy, timeless and elegant, you will see these handles on many high end Japanese knives. Suitable for both left- and right-handed users.

Do note ebony and buffalo horn are natural materials with natural variations, so no two pieces look identical. If you wish to view the knife handle before purchasing, please come down to our showroom - we will show you a random sample of three to choose from. Please understand that we cannot show you every knife handle that we have in stock. 

For typical handle installation services, there will be a top up of $15. However, please bring your knife down to our showroom, and we will need to assess your knife before we give a final quote. This installation price is only with the purchase of our handles.

Dimensions (Please give some degree of error, sizes are measured based on a random sample):

Small - Overall (120 x 21 x 17mm) | Hole ( 2.1mm width x 8mm length x 70mm depth)

Medium - Overall (125 x 23 x 19mm) | Hole ( 2.1mm width x 10mm length x 80mm depth)

Large - Overall (140 x 25 x 21mm) | Hole ( 2.1mm width x 10mm length x 90mm depth)

Recommendations:

NOTE: This list is not exhaustive, handle sizes are only suggestions and you may fit whichever handle to whichever knife you wish.

Small - These handles fit nicely on a Petty 80 - 160mm. They could also work for Ko-Santoku, Ko-Bunka, Ajikiri or any other number of smaller knives.

Medium - These are great for a Gyuto 180 - 210mm, Santoku, Bunka, Sujihiki or a smaller Deba.

Large - These would fit Gyuto 220 - 300mm and Deba 165 - 180mm. They can also fit thicker and heavier knives regardless of size. For example, an extremely thick 210mm Gyuto would fit better with a Large compared to a Medium.
