Crushgrind began when Danish entrepreneur Ken Muff Lassen wanted to make a better spice grinder. Working with a Japanese manufacturer, he developed a durable ceramic grinding mechanism capable of handling everything from salt and pepper to a wide variety of spices. At some point during development its durability was extensively tested in a trial designed to simulate 200 years of use, during which a single grinder processed more than 50kg of salt and 50kg of pepper. This commitment to rigorous testing underpins Crushgrind’s confidence in its ceramic mechanism, which comes with a 25-year guarantee.

The Crushgrind Mini Grinder Set comes in matching sets of colours for either salt or pepper. Its cleverly designed lift-and-carry base allows you to carry the entire set by squeezing the tops. For those who appreciate quirky designs and a little bit of fun, this grinder works well on the dinner table or in a cafe.

The Mini series is part of Crushgrind's basic model and comes with their small non-adjustable ceramic burr. In our testing, even though the grinder felt lightweight, it ground both salt and pepper well.
