The brand Aoyoshi founded in 1955 has its roots in Tsubame Sanjo, Japan, a region internationally recognised for over 300 years of metalworking excellence. The Lutèce series (pronounced loo-tess) by Aoyoshi takes inspiration from vintage French silverware with its Fiddle pattern defined by its violin shape, with a rectangular end and a narrower neck that creates a refined, elegant and timeless silhouette. The stamped mark on the spoon's bowl or the fork's head serves as a nod to vintage silverware traditionally used to indicate weight and authenticity.

The Lutèce series comes in three finishes: "Satin", "Vintage" and "Black Vintage". What sets the "Black Vintage" collection apart is its distinctive black stone washed finish. Using a patented stainless steel processing technique, each piece has a black food-safe finish applied then given a softly distressed, matte surface that evokes the character of well loved vintage cutlery. Subtle variations, intentional unevenness, and fine surface markings are all part of the design - creating a naturally aged look that blends seamlessly with both contemporary and antique table settings.
